There are so many places to visit in Kuala Lumpur and its surroundings and to get the maximum of your stay. It is essential to plan adequately based on the number of days you have. Find below the quick plan to visit the top 10 must-visit places in KL, if you have two days.
However, if you are staying for more days, then you continue to read our other post Things to do in KL in 5 days
Day-1 in Kuala Lumpur:
You can start the day from the KLCC children park, situated beside the twin tower. If you have kids, then the park has a children’s playground, an artificial, and pools. After that, you can visit the four-floor mall “Suria” under the twin towers. Almost all major brands have their representation there.
After having lunch here, you can walk directly to the Kuala Lumpur convention center to visit one of the biggest aquariums (also known as Aquaria) in Asia. This will take 2-3 hours here and then after having some rest you can walk (3-4 Km) or take grab/taxi to KLCC Menara Tower. The tower has a revolving restaurant on top. However, our suggestion is to visit the well-maintained tropical jungle for free and then visit the sky deck on top of the tower to see the whole city of Kuala Lumpur. Make sure that there is no rain before you go there as they stop the entrance to the deck during the rain.
The next day you can spend around Berjaya Times Square. The nearby attractions are Central Market, Bukit Bintang, Mardika Square, Pavilion Mall, and China Town. If you are comfortable walking about 2-3 kilometers, then you need to worry about transportation. If you are with kids, then an indoor theme park at Berjaya Times Square is an excellent place to go. Central Market is quite an old building, and you will find dozens of shops for reasonably priced souvenirs. The Pavilion Mall is rich in food options, so try to stay there for lunch or dinner times. China Town and Mardika Square are outdoor places, so if it’s raining or too hot outside then you can drop these from your plan.
