Cameron Lake House Resort was built by a British Army officer. It started operating as a boutique hotel in 1970. Its a beautiful British country house style property. A romantic traditional English country house. We stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. A classic manor-house style hotel that will certainly impress you and transfers you into a fairy world.

Cameron Lake House Resort Location:
The Lakehouse is situated in Ringlet between Tanah Ratta road. Very easily accessible. This Tudor-style boutique resort enchants you the time you enter its premises. The Lakehouse Cameron Highlands Resort is 1,000 m above sea level and overlooks Sultan Abu Bakar Lake. The nearest town, Ipoh, is a 90-minute drive away, while Kuala Lumpur is a 3-hour drive away.
It is housed in the area which is praised as the valley of of eternal spring. This gorgeous English country house sits a top a hill overlooking the lush, grassy woodlands of Cameron Highland. Also it is in close proximity of different key attractions like the Boh tea plantation site. Tanah Ratta is very close by. Some strawberry farms are also in its neighborhood.
About The Lake House Hotel:
It has 18 rooms, all in different sizes. You can easily book family suit, Honeymoon suits, Junior Suites, Deluxe rooms up to your choice of accommodation. The Lakehouse boasts wooden ceiling beams and four-poster beds. Rooms at The Lakehouse Cameron Highlands feature antique pieces, such as an antique table fan and a rotary dial telephone. Each room has tea/coffee making facilities and a vanity area with a full-length mirror. Room service is also available.

The hotel has a lot to explore. Guests can settle into one of the cosy armchairs at the Reading Room and enjoy quiet moments by the fireplace. There is also a games room where guests can play board games. The elegantly decorated lobby looks like a little museum of antiquities. I personally loved the slightly curved staircase going upstairs on both sides.

Cameron Lake House Review
Lovely accommodation in the style of the English Tudor period, with scenic beauty all around this location. Excellent location and helpful staff. Despite the fact that the rooms are meant to be preserved in this style, additional attention could be paid to the improvement of minor details. The food is just okay, especially considering the price, and there is a lack of clear signage during the evening, making it easy to miss the entrance.

The Lake view Terrace is a great spot for English tea in the afternoons. You can have a morning walk around the lush green lawns of the hotel and breath in the fresh mountain air. My kids enjoyed this place to the fullest. Even if you have been to Cameron Highlands many time before, you must visit again only to experience this enchanting English country house.

The Restaurant and Bar brings you a fine selection of traditional English cuisine, local set menus, vegetarian menu, beverage and wine. The breakfast menu is very comprehensive and delicious. So always include breakfast when you are booking. The restaurant only serves breakfast and dinner. The Lakehouse Resort provides a safety deposit box at the front desk.

Truly a 5 star hotel experience. Friendly and ever smiling staff. The beauty of this place certainly makes you come again and again.
